thats old news,when i was rebuilding three years ago i was told to stay away from sleeves because of them possibally falling, down into the crankcase.

Are you sure you had it resleeved or did you send it out to someone like US Chrome to have it renikasiled?  US Chrome and others like them actually replate the cylinder.

Most people on here stay away from the sleeves. I don't have any experience with them. Maybe yours will be OK.

You can use aftermarket FA's, but you have to have the carb modified for it work correctly.
